The Boomerang is a weapon in ark. It is a very good weapon for knocking out creatures, like the spear it has no defined durability, though in my experience it usually lasts MUCH longer. The Boomerang was introduced by the Scorched Earth DLC but can be obtained in valguero and ragnarok due to them both having sand veins/rocks. It is unlocked at level 9, to unlock it, just open your engram menu and choose the Scorched Earth icon.
