ARK: Scorched Earth is an expansion pack for ARK: Survival Evolved. It is included in the Season Pass or can be purchased separately for $19.99 USD. It launched on September 1, 2016 on Steam and Xbox One and December 6, 2016 on PS4. It adds 10 new creatures, over 50 new items, a new boss, and the new desert map.
